South African Delight (Saffron Tea)

OzTea South African Delight has been awarded a Bronze medal in the Golden Leaf Awards 2021!. The Golden Leaf Awards are Australia’s premier tea awards event. These awards focus on Australasia, however they also welcome participation from the global tea industry if they are commercially available within Australia.

South African delight is a delicious herbal blend of Honeybush, Persian Saffron, Cardamom and Rose Petals. It is a caffeine-free boosting tea with a sweet taste. The main ingredient is Honeybush which comes from the Cyclopia plant that grows only in the Western and Eastern Cape regions of South Africa, hence why we call it “South African Delight”. The plant has yellow flowers that smell like honey and is very similar to Rooibos with a similar but sweeter taste.

Saffron is the most expensive spice and one of the most popular spices in the world. It is harvested by hand from the Crocus sativus flower, which is known as saffron crocus.

Brewing Instruction:

Steep at 100C for 3-5 minutes

Packaging

OzTea 50 G packaging are Bio-Degradable & Recyclable Cylinders in Natural Kraft color. We also use a Bio liner instead of a standard foil lined bag to keep our tea packaging safe. Bio liners are created from a new to the market material known as d2w, an oxo -biodegradable polymer resin.
