Cornflower: A Gentle Floral with Surprising Benefits

27 December 2025

Cornflower is native to the Middle East and is known for its medicinal, culinary and cosmetic properties.

There are two varieties of Cornflower: “Mountain cornflower or Centaurea montana (latin) to which digestive and diuretic properties are attributed.” And “Field cornflower or Centaurea cyanus (latin again), traditionally used for daily ailments such as mucus membrane and tissue inflammation and skin inflammation, pain and conjunctivitis.”

Cornflower is a key ingredient in our ‘Royal Blend’ black tea. Please visit our website for more information.
